Why send a Christmas card that moves?
A Christmas card lands on the mat, gets a smile and ends up on the shelf. An xrprints card does one thing extra: when the recipient points their phone at it, the card starts to play. Elves dance around the tree, snow falls over your photo or your family appears in a hologram and wishes them a merry Christmas. It is still a real printed card, on heavy 350 gram paper, but with a surprise inside.
Which Christmas card fits who?
- For grandparents and family far away: choose a card with a video or hologram. Record thirty seconds of the kids singing or the whole family waving. They can watch it again and again.
- For friends and neighbours: an animated scene with a short personal message is enough. The Dancing Elves and the Snow Globe are favourites.
- For a long list: order a pack. Every card gets the same design, and you can still add a different name or photo per card in the editor.
- For clients and colleagues: add your logo and a short year review, see our business cards.
Tips for your Christmas text
Keep it short and personal. The animation already does the work, so two or three sentences are plenty. A few starting points:
- Name the moment you look back on: "That weekend in June was the best of the year."
- Look ahead: "In January we will finally come and visit."
- Say what they mean to you, in one sentence. That is the line they keep.
Write the text in the editor and watch the preview: what you see is what gets printed.
When should I order?
Printed cards go to the printer within a day and arrive in the Netherlands and Belgium in two to four working days, in the rest of Europe in about a week. Pick an arrival date at checkout and we post the card at the right moment. E-cards arrive the minute you pay.
How does scanning work?
The recipient opens the camera of their phone, points it at the QR code or the front of the card and the browser opens the experience. No app, no account, on iPhone and Android. It works on the printed card and on the screen of an e-card.
